A friend suggested I try rendering something mechanical rather than the usual fleshy delights... so i did. Full vector created in Illustrator CS5, predominantly using the mesh tool, but with more gradient fills than usual on things such as the wheel hubs. The type tool was also back in business with this piece as well as use of clipping masks on the front forks mechanism. The colour scheme fits nicely with my previous Hines Ward piece, so it'll probably be a DeWalt drill or a swarm of bees next...
Love the Picture!
Beautiful job AngstromAlliance. I will be so glad when I am at the point where some of you guys are on this vectorizing. Awesome.
Extremely impressive for a vector! Is it based on a photo ?
Yes it is, I was looking for something mechanical to vectorize, and the colours and form just jumped out at me.
This very cool. Never thought of doing some heavy machinery for a mesh. But I love it!!!
Thanx. I've seen some great renderings of sports and muscle cars, just thought I'd try something a bit different
Although the ladies are lovely, this is a fantastic vector!
Thanks Lon I wasn't sure if people would be too interested in a picture of a JCB, so it's nice to get some positive feedback.
Huh...yet another 3D vector? or is it vector 3D? Yo...great work man!!!!
